Refurbished Macbook Pro Discount vs. Using Apple Education Discount.

Interesting points in this Mac forum.

  1. You sometimes get better specifications from what you’re ordered when you buy a refurbished Macbook Pro.  This might be more memory than configured and such.  I see to have read a handful of instances, not just on this particular forum but also elsewhere.
  2. Buying a refurbished Macbook Pro might just be a better deal than using an Apple Education Discount.  Both are covered under the same Apple limited year waranty.  If you’re student and you don’t have an MP3 player, you might want to consider going with the Apple Education Discount as you’d also get a free Ipod, depending on when you buy your Macbook Pro.
