so i got this macbook for $899 w/ free shipping. original price $1099. saved about 19% off original. the specs:

nice macbook. I just ordered a refurbished one yesterday. It should be here in a few days.

I wanted to ask. Did your macbook ever encounter any problems since you got it?

No, I haven’t had any problems. The only issue I had was w/ iMovie. I guess if you install Leopard, it’ll have some problems w/ iMovie. iWeb and all the other apps worked.

Found out the solution is Apple’s recent update. Fixed it. So yea… you need to dl it.

Actually, they fix and test everything, there may be scratches, but things such as dead pixels are fixed. They test them just like new notebooks, and they follow the same warranty guidelines as well. It’s just like buying new usually.

You save about $150 on a macbook 2.00ghz so you can buy your extra 2gb ram.
Apple refubished products are products returned within the reutrn policy week. Everything goes under ispection so its basicly brand new. =D

i was getting mine in a withe box with a image of the macbook..

but my question is:

you werhe getting the osx leopard disk…
in my box it was 2 disks with name:

osx instal disk 1 and 2 is that the osx leopard witch i can reinstall my macbook with if i get problems, or is it just software?

refurbished means that something has gone wrong in the factory and that they have fixed the problem

a refurbished macbook most likely means that the macbook was purchased and then returned for whatever reason. it doesn’t necessarily mean that it was broken.

apple tests the returned macbook, cleans it, certifies it works, and then sells it at a discount. it’s a fully functional unit. you even get the same warranty on your refurbished macbook as you would with a new one.
