Macbooks Selling Well Despite High Price
May 19th, 2008 | by kleenex |Seems like Apple’s slowly growing in popularity, especially with their Macbook line of notebooks.
eWeek plubished some data that shows Apple taking and estimated 66 percent of teh U.S. retail market for computers that costs more than $1000. If you were to load up Apple’s website, you’d see that Apple sells only one computer that falls below $1000, and that would be the Mac Mini. All other brand new mac systems would cost significantly higher.
However, there is one expection. If you choose to purchase an Apple Certified Refurbished Macbook, you’d easily find a handful of those with prices that fall below $1000. The prices for Refurbished Macbooks may include savings as high as 40% off their original prices. That’s quite a wad of cash. Refurbished Macbooks also come with the same one year limited warranty that the new Macbooks have.
So go out and get an Apple Certified Refurbished Macbook. The Macbook seems to be selling like hotcakes. Why not be smart about it and buy a refurbished Macbook and save some money while you’re at it.
